Opportunities typically start around age 12 for assistant referee roles. Older teens and adults can work center assignments as they gain experience and confidence.

Do I need prior experience?

Show

No. We’ll help you get certified and provide guidance on your first games. Many referees start with youth matches and build up from there.

Will I be working alone?

Show

For many games, especially at older age groups, you’ll work as part of a referee team. Younger games may be officiated solo as you build experience.

Can I referee if I’m also a player?

Yes. Many referees are active players. Assignments can be scheduled around your team commitments.

Can parents also become referees?

Show

Yes. Many parents referee as a way to support the league and stay involved in the game.
