When does registration open and close?
- Early Bird: March 30 – April 17
- Regular: April 18 – May 30
- Late: June 1 – June 7
What is the cost to register?
- Early Bird — $120
- Regular — $140
- Late — $160
General Info
- What age groups are eligible to play?
- Boys and girls born between August 1, 2012 and July 31, 2022.
- Are there boys and girls divisions?
- Yes. Separate boys and girls teams for U8 through U14. U6 (TK and Kindergarten) is co‑ed.
- When does the season start and end?
- The season runs from August through October. Practices begin the week of August 17, with the first game on Saturday, August 22. Coaches may begin optional practices as early as August 1 at their discretion; these early sessions are optional for players.
- How many games will each team play?
- 10 games.
- Where are games held?
- Gary Clarke Turf Field and other local partner club fields (Auburn, Meadow Vista, and occasionally Foresthill).
- What days are games played?
- Saturdays.
- What game formats are used?
- US Soccer recommends: 4v4 for U6/U8, 7v7 for U10, 9v9 for U12, and 11v11 for U14.
- What does the registration fee include?
- Uniform (jersey and shorts), plus field rentals, referees, equipment, and other league operations.
- Can I request a specific coach and friends?
- Yes, you may request a coach and friends. While we cannot guarantee requests, we consider this information during team formation. See details below.
- Are there tryouts?
- No.

Practices
- When do practices start?
- The week of August 17. First games are Saturday, August 22. Some coaches may start optional practices as early as August 1; early sessions are not required for players.
- How often do teams practice?
- Minimum of two 1‑hour practices per week (U6: one 45‑minute practice). To the extent possible, older age groups receive more time and space.
- Where are practices held?
- Primary: Gary Clarke Turf Field. Secondary: Cottage Hill and Magnolia.
- Do coaches choose practice times?
- Yes. Coaches are volunteers with outside commitments; we coordinate schedules with them.
- Who sets the practice schedule?
- The Team Formation & Practice Committee.

Team Formation
We recognize kids want to play with friends and parents value familiar coaches. Balancing friend/coach/play‑up requests with team balance and integrating new players/coaches is essential to the league’s long‑term health.
- How are teams created?
- A three‑person Team Formation & Practice Committee (established by BRRPD and including multiple coaches) forms teams.
- How many players will be on a team?

Preferred roster sizes (may vary based on registrations and available coaches):
- U6/U8 — 12 players
- U10 — 9 players
- U12 — 12 players
- U14 — 14 players
- When will teams be announced?
- Late July.
